Hi Cart, After your useful analysis of File:Ford Focus RS Mk III 2015 003.jpg, I have some doubt about this one. Do you also think it is a montage? Thanks, Yann (talk) 11:07, 19 October 2025 (UTC)
- Yann, well visually it looks ok. Wheels are spinning and blurred the right way and the guardrail is reflected in the car the right way. But the exif doesn't match the photo. The time stamp is the same on both photos and there is no way this is an 8 seconds pan. Driving for 8 sek on that road would have made a blurry mess of everything. The very plausible reason for this, is that they use the same Meta template for several of the photos in this campaign, and possibly photos from one of the locations as base layer when they edit to have a good reference when they edit the colors to match each other in the photos. This is not unusual, since it's very important for the car to have the same color in all the campaign images. Color is a good memory marker to hammer into consumers. With the amount of trickery and editing that goes on in advertising photography, any such photos should come with big warning templates if they are uploaded on Commons. Although, we on Commons see photo manipulations as trickery, in the advertising world it's called "a job well done!". --Cart (talk) 11:36, 19 October 2025 (UTC)
